A quick-start guide for testers

This tool draws property boundary lines on aerial images. Enter an address to get the boundary drawn for you automatically, fine-tune it if needed, choose your line color and thickness, and download a finished image.

Two ways to use it

Top-down

Type an address and click Locate. The tool loads an aerial photo and draws the property boundary for you. Adjust if needed, then save.

My photo

Upload your own drone or aerial photo. If you’ve Located the address, the tool tries to place the boundary on your photo automatically. If it can’t (or you skip the address), place it with Pick key points, Import parcel shape, or trace it with Draw polygon.

Fitting a boundary onto your drone photo

On your own photo, you don’t have to redraw tricky shapes by hand. Locate the address first, then:

Pick key points — when the automatic guess can’t line up (oblique shots, tree cover, or off-season aerials), click a landmark on the reference, then the same spot on your photo — four or more pairs. The tool keeps the exact county shape and just rotates, sizes, and positions it onto your photo from your points, so spread the points out (far corners, not clustered) for the best fit, then add any camera tilt with Transform.
Import parcel shape — drops the exact county property outline onto your photo, correctly proportioned.
Transform — turn this on to move, zoom, rotate, and tilt the whole outline as one piece to match your drone angle. Its shape never distorts, so odd-shaped lots stay accurate. Turn it off to fine-tune single corners.
Reference — opens the top-down aerial (with the outline) next to your photo. Rotate either view so both images point the same way, then line up landmarks like a driveway, trees, or a road bend.
Rotate image — spin your photo (or the reference) to any angle for easier lining-up. Use the slider, the −/+ buttons for 1° nudges, or ↻ to reset. It only turns the on-screen view, not your saved boundary.

Buttons & controls

Address box + Locate	Find a property by address (used in Mode A, and to auto-place or import the outline on My photo).
Upload drone photo	Add your own image from your computer (Mode B · My photo).
A / B tabs	Switch between the two ways to use the tool.
Color	The color of the boundary line.
Thickness	How thick the boundary line is.
Draw polygon	Start tracing a boundary — click to drop each corner, then click the first point to finish.
Pick key points	Manual fallback when the auto guess is off: click matching landmarks on the reference and your photo (4+ pairs), then Place boundary to fit the outline onto your photo.
Import parcel shape	Drop the exact county property outline onto your uploaded photo (on My photo, after you Locate). Then position it with Transform.
Transform	Lock the shape’s proportions and move it as one piece: blue corners zoom, green handle rotates, amber arrow aims the tilt direction, the Tilt slider sets the tilt amount, and the ✜ center moves it. Toggle off to nudge single corners.
Reshape box	Wrap the whole outline in a box that automatically lines up with the property’s angle, then drag a handle to reshape it — the rest of the outline (including curved edges with lots of points) follows along. Drag a square corner to move just that corner, or a round mid‑edge handle to slide a whole side in or out (like resizing an image). Great when an edge has too many little points to drag one by one. A toggle: turn it off to nudge single corners. (Transform keeps proportions fixed; Reshape box lets them change.)
Reference	Show the top-down aerial beside your photo. Rotate either view to match orientation, then line up landmarks.
Rotate image	Spin the on-screen photo (or reference) to any angle for easier lining-up — slider, −/+ for 1° steps, ↻ to reset. Doesn’t change your saved boundary.
White dots	Drag any dot to move that corner and fine-tune the boundary.
Clear	Remove the current boundary and start over.
Save	Store your boundary.
Download PNG	Get the finished image with the boundary drawn on it. The download frames the whole parcel (no cut-off) and is high-resolution with clean, smooth lines.

Tips

If the automatic boundary picks the wrong lot or is a little off, just drag the white dots to fix it — that’s expected, and your corrections help us improve the tool.
On a drone photo, Import parcel shape then Transform is usually faster than tracing by hand — aim the amber arrow the way the ground recedes, then use the Tilt slider.
For a mostly-rectangular lot, Reshape box is quickest — the box already sits at the lot’s angle, so drag a round side handle to push a whole edge in or out instead of moving corners one at a time.
Always click Save before Download PNG.
Switching between Top-down and My photo keeps your boundary only after you Save — save first and it’ll be waiting when you come back.
One boundary per image, to keep things simple.
